I was in Las Vegas at another successful Professor Sophia McDermott Lifestyle Camp BJJ Retreat, 2/17/23 until 2/20/23. There was a choice to go to the SPA or go on a HIKE.
On Day 2 after an having an hour of Yoga that morning and an early afternoon 2 hour of BJJ training , I chose the hike option, as many of the others. I did not envision going up a mountain. Heights are not a comfortable level for my calmness and breathing rhythm to remain in a calm state. I took a deep breath and moved forward and many more deep breaths and pressed forward while leaning in. As I continued with my deep breathes and leaning forward motion I was determined not to look back with fear of panic. When I reached my point, I was rewarded with a magnificent view and a great feeling of accomplishment. Moving forward always pushes a comfort level zone, but it will most likely get you there from where you were.
